LifeProof now has eliminated Nuud case for their phone cases and made 2 relatively new model which are NEXT and SLAM. So what are the difference between the 3 variants that LifeProof has?

FRE

The only waterproof with front and back protection that LifeProof has. The distinct feature is built-in protector to keep the phone case fully sealed and protect the phone from water and dust. FRE also the only waterproof phone case that LifeProof has now, since they stopped producing NUUD. 

NEXT

The second most popular model after FRE is NEXT. NEXT case is not a waterproof case, but it is a good drop and dust protection as it has port cover. Since the recent phones are mostly water resistant, this is another good case to consider if you are getting used to your phone screen and does not like the feel of built-in screen protector that FRE case has. You can use your phone screen directly as it does not has built-in screen protector.

SLAM

SLAM case is the cheapest model of LifeProof case. It does not have built-in screen protection or dust protection like the other 2 models have, but it has better colour options that suits the youngsters and give good drop protection up to 2 meters high. If you are a big LifeProof fans and just want to have a good looking case with good protection, SLAM would be a good choice.
